We are Sophie and Adam Gates, and together we run Sophie’s Pet Care®.

Sophie’s Pet Care® was founded in 2012 and has grown and developed ever since. We provide dog walking, dog home visits and small pet care for over 800 pets all over the New Forest and surrounding areas. Sophie’s also offer 'Dog’s Day Out', a unique service for holidaymakers who want to visit top local attractions that don’t admit dogs, and thus need their little friend looked after for the day.

In addition, our sister company, New Forest Dog Holidays, provides VIP dog home boarding in loving family homes for when owners are away on holiday and would like their dog to have a holiday too!

WHO WALKS MY DOG OR VISITS MY PETS?

At Sophie’s we have a team of experienced employed Pet Rangers both full-time and part-time operating in modern, carefully-equipped company vans and vehicles, ensuring your dog is transported safely and comfortably. As you’d expect, all staff are fully insured, police checked, trained in dog first aid and in dog behavioural strategies too. They are also provided with continual training and development. Last year alone we walked over 8,000 dogs!

WHERE IS MY DOG WALKED?

Our 60-minute group walks are carried out in our 14 carefully selected and mapped out walk routes, either deep in the forest or along our stunning local coastline. We only walk in the forest or along the coastline, providing a stimulating and enjoyable walk for your dog. We provide three walking slots per day; the Sophie’s Early Bird, Lunchtime Treat or Afternoon Explorer.

We also provide bespoke 30-minute solo walks too. These are either carried out from your home, or at a local suitable area. On top of this, every time your dog is walked with us, you will receive a written 'doggie diary' to say when we collected your dog and where your dog has been. Photos of our walks are also frequently posted on social media; often you’ll be able to see your dog having fun on their Sophie’s adventure.

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING?

No. We provide everything needed for your dog's walk including a lead  along with poo bags and towels. We just ask that you have a collar on your dog with it’s personal ID tag.

WHO DO I CONTACT? IS THERE OFFICE SUPPORT?

Sophie’s operate from a dedicated Headquarters in Everton, within ’49', the Business-led Open Innovation Centre, in the grounds of Otter Garden Centre. We have office staff on hand to solve any potential problems that occur throughout the day and our office team take care of all the administrative duties, bookings, staff spot checks and communication for our customers, so our Pet Rangers can focus on doing what they do best; looking after your dog. This level of care and support is unheard of in the dog walking world, and on top of that, we’re famous for our legendary reliability.  Unlike many part-time dog walkers across our area, you don’t have to worry about whether we showed up or not. Quite simply, Sophie’s will be there!

Free Registration Meeting

HOW DO I MEET YOU AND BOOK?

We offer a completely free registration meeting where we meet you, discuss your dog care needs, develop a schedule that works for you, answer any questions you have and complete an online registration for your dog.

Following this, we book your FREE Welcome Walk with one of our Pet Rangers so they can meet you and your dog at your home and allow your dog to experience Sophie’s for the first time totally free of charge. Your Pet Ranger can then provide feedback to you face-to-face when they return with your dog.

Once you have registered with us, you will have access to your own personal online 'Sophie’s Login', accessible by clicking the button on the homepage. Here you can view and update your dog's/cat's profile, view your onscreen diary, showing at a glance all your bookings, as well as book all of our services online into your calendar simply and easily, at the touch of a button, whatever the time of day or night 24/7, and from wherever you happen to be…
